GOODBYE IS NOT FOREVER

 This one I wrote for a new friend I had met who had lost her son about the same time as I had lost mine.  There's always a silver lining amongst even the darkest clouds.  If you are grieving the lost of a loved one I hope this one offers at least a little comfort.  Be easy on yourself and remember Goodbye is not forever.

GOODBYE IS NOT FOREVER

Jesus wept.

Our Lord knows

The pain that is felt

When one we love goes,

But Goodbye is not forever!

Though the pain seems unbearable

As if no one understands

Our Lord knows

The pain that is felt

When a loved one goes.

But Goodbye is not forever!

At times it feels

Like your heart is being torn apart inside

When someone you love dies.

Our Lord knows!

Our loss is shared

By a Lord who cares

And who also knows

That Goodbye is not forever!

So call on Him.

He'll hold you close.

Go ahead and cry

Our Lord knows why.

It's love that overtakes us

Shakes us

Moves Us

And breaks us...

Our Lord knows it all!

Afterall...it was that same love

That moved him

To offer us His Son.

And it was that same love

That moved Him to die for us...

So WE can know...

DAUGHTER OF THE KING

II wrote this one for my daughter when she was just a little girl.  Now she's a nearly 26  year old beautiful young women who is engaged to a young man who is everything we'd prayed for for her.  So pray for your children.  Pray for their future from the time they are born.  The Lord answered our prayers and He will your's too.  

DAUGHTER OF THE KING

Some see a woman, some see yet a girl

I see a daughter who is loved more than the world.

To THE FATHER who created you, The ONE who knows you best

He's planned many blessing, and you deserve nothing less.

Though times may get really rough, and many times you'll shed tears

Know that God is always there for you and always will be through the years.

You're cherished more than rubies, more than diamonds, more than pearls.

You're valued more than anything.  You ARE God's little girl.

I pray you know you're value.  I pray that you stay strong.

And if someone tells you differently, you tell them they are wrong!

You tell them you are worthy.  A daughter of THE KING

To be treated like a princess.  you're more than just a "thing".

God blessed you with great beauty, inwardly and out.

And he planned someone special for you,  This don't ever doubt!

Someone who will love you,  with a love beyond compare.

Someone who will cherish you and let you know he cares.

Someone with God's patience, His mercy and His grace.

And when he holds you in his arms, you'll know that that's your place.

A man who shows you kindness.  Who's gentle and yet strong.

A man who share's his world with you.  The ONE for whom you long.

A man with a heart as pure as gold, who wants the best for you.

Who'll love you and respect you.  No less will ever do.

So each day I'll pray this prayer for you, morning, noon and night.

That God will bring this special man to take you as his wife.
